ABM Landscaping is seeking a skilled Stonemasons to join our team working across landscaping and civil construction projects within Perth.

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in Limestone Block retaining walls

- Physical stamina & strength for working with heavy materials

- Motivated individuals with experience in laying limestone retaining walls

- Experience in operating skid steers and excavators

- Ability to set out, read plans and manage projects

- Robust leadership skills and communication

- MR or HR Truck license would be an advantage

Key Skills and Duties :

- Checking plans and drawings and interpreting the layout of the materials and checking work to make sure the vertical and horizontal alignment of materials is appropriate for the job.





- Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding

- Sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks, construct footings.

- Lay blocks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints with neat pointing and finishes.

- Smoothing, polishing, and bevelling surfaces, using hand tools and power tools.

- Setting stone or marble in place, according to layout or pattern.

- Making sure the use of correct safety equipment and adhering to relevant rules, procedures and legislation·

- Repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks and related structures, Laying blocks to form walls, structures and feature areas

- Installing retaining wall systems such as post and panel, rock pitching, stone pitching and stone armour walls.
