Job Description

We're working with a growing planning consultancy based in Ballarat who are looking to add an experienced Senior Town Planner to their team. This is an opportunity for a planner who is confident in their technical abilities, enjoys taking ownership of projects and has the communication skills to build and maintain strong client relationships. You'll be working across a varied portfolio of planning matters, providing practical and commercially focused advice while managing projects from application through to outcome.

The Opportunity

n

As a Senior Planner, you'll play an important role within the team, taking responsibility for your own projects and working closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a diverse range of planning applications and projects.
n
- Providing high-quality technical planning advice.
n
- Preparing and reviewing planning reports, applications and supporting documentation.
n
- Liaising with Councils, clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
n
- Managing projects through the planning and approval process.
n
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
n
- Identifying planning opportunities and providing practical solutions to complex matters.
n
- Supporting and contributing to the wider team and business as required.

About You

n





We're looking for someone who brings a strong combination of technical planning capability, commercial awareness and relationship management skills. You'll ideally have:

n

n
- Significant experience working within the Victorian planning system.
n
- Strong technical knowledge and an ability to confidently assess and manage planning matters.
n
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- The ability to confidently liaise with clients, Councils and external stakeholders.
n
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
- A genuine interest in building and maintaining client relationships.
n
