About Our Operating Theatres Our modern Operating Theatre complex includes:

32 First‑Stage Recovery bays

32 Second‑Stage Recovery chairs

Specialties include: General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatrics, Oral & Dental, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Robotics, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.

About the Role As a Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout, you will:

Provide high‑quality scrub and scout support across a range of specialties

Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams

Ensure patient and staff safety at all times





Proactively evaluate and improve perioperative care outcomes

Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation

Contribute to a positive patient experience from admission through recovery

Current

AHPRA registration

as a Registered Nurse

Minimum

3 years’ experience

in a perioperative setting

Scrub/Scout experience (Neurosurgery or Orthopaedics highly regarded)

Postgraduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)

Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient‑centred care

Strong communication, time management and organisational skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a high‑performing team

Excellent problem‑solving and computer skills

Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2024, a salary ranging from $40.26-$56.54per hour.
