About the Role

n

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician (Heat Exchanger Engineer) to join our growing team based in Stapylton, QLD.

n

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with extensive experience in plate heat exchangers, heat transfer equipment, and technical problem-solving. The successful candidate will be required to travel to support our customers' service requirements and will be available for occasional interstate travel, weekend work, and public holiday callouts when required.

Key Responsibilities

n

Diagnose faults and provide technical advice and solutions to customers.

n

Service, repair, maintain, and assemble a wide range of plate heat exchangers both onsite and within the workshop.

n

Identify heat exchanger models and specify suitable gasket and plate materials for various applications.

n

Design and size heat exchangers, prepare quotations, budgets, and project costings.

n





Procure spare parts and accurately identify components required for specific heat exchanger models and applications.

n

Maintain and develop relationships with global heat exchanger suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and supply agreements.

n

Build strong relationships with existing customers and actively contribute to business development opportunities.

n

Support manufacturing and assembly activities for locally produced heat exchangers.

About You

n

Minimum 4 years' experience working with heat transfer equipment, particularly plate heat exchangers.

n

Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing plate heat exchangers both onsite and in a workshop setting.

n

Previous experience in heat exchanger manufacturing and assembly.

n

Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

n

Experience designing heat exchangers and preparing budgets, quotations, and costings.

n

Business development and account management experience.

n

Strong understanding of spare parts identification and procurement processes.

n

Established relationships with global heat exchanger suppliers would be highly regarded.

n

Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

n

The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

n

A willingness to travel interstate and work occasional weekends and public holidays as required.
