Medical Superintendent & Psychiatrist

Location: South Pacific Region, Australia

Employment Type: Permanent Full time, carrying some cases alongside a managerial role

Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per annum

Contract Dates: 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027

About the Role

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Medical Superintendent & Psychiatrist to provide both strategic clinical leadership and direct patient care within a private mental health service.

This position combines executive and clinical responsibilities, allowing the successful candidate to maintain a patient caseload while overseeing medical governance, service development, clinical quality, and operational leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing medical leadership and professional oversight

Ensuring high standards of clinical governance and patient care





Supporting service development and quality initiatives

Maintaining an active psychiatric caseload

Working collaboratively with executive, medical, and multidisciplinary teams

This role offers the opportunity to influence service direction while continuing hands-on clinical practice.
