Contrast Co is looking for one high-quality subcontractor to join our growing sauna and ice bath installation business.

This role is not for everyone.

We work in premium residential properties, hotels, wellness facilities and commercial environments where clients expect a very high standard of workmanship, presentation, cleanliness and professionalism.

If you are unreliable, regularly late, careless with tools, messy on site, uncomfortable speaking with clients, or need to be constantly supervised, this role will not suit you.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, respects the properties they work in, and wants to develop specialist skills within the sauna and wellness industry.

The Role

You will initially work alongside the founder of Contrast Co assisting with:

- Prefabricated sauna installations
- Timber assembly, cutting, fitting and finishing
- Sauna maintenance and refurbishment
- Ice bath installation
- Fault identification and basic diagnostic work
- Loading, unloading and site preparation
- Residential and commercial projects throughout Sydney
- Occasional regional NSW work

As your capability develops, there will be opportunities to complete installations independently and potentially progress into a lead installer position.

What We Are Looking For

You must be

- Experienced and confident using hand and power tools
- Comfortable working with timber
- Physically capable of installation and manual handling work
- Reliable and punctual
- Clean and well-presented
- Professional and confident communicating with clients
- Extremely respectful inside private homes and commercial properties




- Particular about workmanship, finishing and attention to detail
- Able to follow installation specifications accurately
- Capable of practical problem-solving on site
- Willing to clean and properly present the site before leaving
- Comfortable taking greater responsibility as your experience develops

Experience in carpentry, joinery, landscaping, construction, maintenance, shopfitting or similar trade work is highly regarded. A formal trade qualification is beneficial but not essential.

However, this is not an entry-level general labouring position for someone with no practical tool experience.

Subcontractor Requirements

You will need

- Your own ABN
- Driver's licence and reliable transport
- Appropriate subcontractor insurance
- Basic tools and PPE
- References from previous work
- Satisfactory background / police screening
- Legal right to undertake subcontract work in Australia

Contrast Co company clothing will be supplied to the successful applicant. Applicants with their own tools, strong carpentry skills and the ability to independently manage installations will have greater earning potential.

Rate

From $350 per day, depending on experience and capability.

Higher rates are available for experienced tradespeople who can independently complete installations,



bring their own tools and take responsibility for running projects.

Project-based rates may also become available once you are competent in Contrast Co installation standards.

This is subcontract work. Project volume will vary and there is no guaranteed number of days each week.

Independent Work & Responsibility

As your experience develops, you may be trusted to complete installations independently.

When undertaking independent subcontract work, you will be expected to take responsibility for your workmanship, protect client property and rectify defects or damage resulting from negligent or improper work.

Appropriate insurance will be required before independent installations are undertaken.

Where This Can Lead

Contrast Co is building a specialist sauna and ice bath installation and maintenance network across NSW and, longer term, Australia's east coast.

For the right person, this is an prospect to develop specialist skills, take on greater responsibility and potentially become a lead installer within the business.

Shortlisted applicants may be offered a paid trial day before ongoing subcontract work is offered.
