Swan Hill

FIG Supports is looking for an experienced and qualified Support & Operations Manager to join our growing team in Swan Hill.

This is not simply an administration role.

We’re looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of the day-to-day operations behind our support services — someone who is highly organised, confident managing people and competing priorities, and capable of solving problems without needing constant direction.

About the role

Working closely with the business owner, you will progressively take responsibility for the operational management of our support team, including:

- Recruitment administration and initial applicant screening
- Employee onboarding and compliance
- Rostering, roster changes, staff availability and arranging cover
- Responding to day-to-day team questions and operational issues
- Coordinating inductions, training and shadow shifts
- Maintaining employee documentation, checks and compliance requirements
- Managing and maintaining our ShiftCare systems
- Assisting with NDIS registration, ongoing compliance, policies, forms and operational processes
- Identifying gaps or problems and following them through to resolution

A big part of this role is problem solving. Disability support doesn’t always run according to plan. We need someone who can assess an unexpected situation, work out what needs to happen, communicate with the right people and confidently take ownership of resolving it.

You’ll also know when something genuinely needs to be escalated to the business owner.

About you A relevant qualification in Individual Support (Disability/Ageing & Disability), Disability, Community Services or a related field, together with demonstrated experience providing direct 1:1 disability support.

Although primarily an operational leadership role, maintaining an understanding of frontline support is important at FIG.

The successful applicant will remain connected to direct support and may occasionally provide participant support when required.

You will also bring

- Experience working within disability or community services
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Solid judgement, initiative and practical problem-solving ability
- The ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Confidence working independently and making appropriate decisions
- Strong written, verbal and computer skills
- High attention to detail, particularly around compliance and documentation
- The ability to remain calm and effective when unexpected problems arise
- Absolute professionalism and discretion with confidential participant, employee and business information
- A genuine commitment to person-centred support, choice and independence

Experience in rostering, staff coordination, recruitment/onboarding, NDIS compliance or ShiftCare would be highly regarded.

Remuneration will reflect the responsibilities of the position and the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, in accordance with the applicable award classification, plus superannuation.
