Hays is partnering with a large and complex organisation to recruit an experienced Systems Administrator to support and enhance a suite of critical business applications that underpin operational, finance, safety, workflow, and permitting functions across the business. This is an opportunity for a technically strong and proactive skilled who enjoys solving complex issues, working closely with business stakeholders, and taking ownership of enterprise systems from support through to continuous improvement.

Your new role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, you will provide administration, support, maintenance, and enhancement of a range of business-critical platforms. Acting as the escalation point for business systems issues, you'll work across Level 1, 2 and 3 support activities while partnering with vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.

You'll be joining a team that values initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving. The successful candidate will have the tenacity to investigate issues thoroughly and see problems through to resolution.

Key Systems Supported

You will be responsible for supporting and administering several core business platforms, including:

- Pronto – Finance and Accounting System
- Nintex – Workflow and Business Process Automation Platform
- Intelex – Safety, Compliance and Incident Reporting System
- EPASS / Surpass – Permit and Operational Management Systems
- Microsoft 365 Environment, including:
- SharePoint Online
- Exchange Online




- Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
- Power Platform
- Power Automate
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Microsoft SQL environments
- Service requests and incident management platforms for business systems support

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, support, monitor, and maintain critical business applications and systems.
- Investigate, analyse, prioritise, and resolve incidents and service requests.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and data migration initiatives.
- Manage relationships with software vendors and third-party providers.
- Develop and improve business processes, workflows, and system functionality.
- Perform system auditing, testing, maintenance, security reviews, and fault rectification.
- Assist with database administration, reporting, and information management activities.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will bring:

- Strong administration experience across Microsoft cloud technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise applications and business systems.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL databases.
- Experience with workflow platforms such as Nintex and automation tools such as Power Automate.
- Experience supporting user access controls, security permissions, and system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience providing Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
