Job Description

Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Carer Peer Worker on a temporary basis to support carers, family and friends of clients within the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. You will use lived experience to assist carers in delivering recovery‐oriented care and to enhance understanding of recovery among clinical staff.

The role covers both community and inpatient settings, working under direction to facilitate peer support and improve outcomes for clients and their families.
