Staff Specialist – Emergency Medicine

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time or Part time (shift work with on-call)

Salary: $216,300 - $296,640 p.a. + superannuation & allowances

About the Role

Join a supportive Emergency Medicine team providing care across two busy regional emergency departments serving a population of approximately 116,000. Work alongside experienced FACEMs, trainees, and multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities in education, supervision, clinical leadership, outreach, and subspecialty interests. International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide specialist emergency medicine services.
- Manage a broad range of acute presentations.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees.
- Participate in teaching, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
- Contribute to on-call and rostered emergency care services.

Essential Criteria

- Specialist or limited registration with AHPRA.
- FACEM, Rural Generalist with Advanced Skills in Emergency Medicine,



or comparable international emergency medicine specialist.
- Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to education, teamwork, and patient-centred care.
