An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Staff Specialist in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery on a fixed-term, part-time basis.

As the sole provider of public cardiothoracic surgical services offers a unique breadth of clinical practice and a level of professional responsibility that is rarely matched elsewhere in Australia.



This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a statewide service while working within a highly skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery currently comprises:

- Three full-time FRACS-qualified Staff Specialists
- One full-time Senior Medical Officer
- One RACS Trainee
- Two Unaccredited Registrars
- Two Interns
- Dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Coordinator and administrative support staff

You will need
- Fellowship of Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Full AHPRA Registration as a specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon
- Documented Evidence of experience in Minimal Access Thoracic Surgery
