Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a Locum O&G; Registrar to support Obstetrics and Gynaecology roster coverage.

This role is suited to a registrar with recent Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology experience who is confident supporting patient reviews, clinical documentation, management planning and escalation of care when required.

The roster is generally Monday to Friday, with shifts running 08:00 – 17:00.

Clinical Environment

You will provide Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar cover within Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.

- O&G; registrar cover – support women’s health, obstetrics and gynaecology presentations
- Weekday roster – shifts generally run Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- Maternity and women’s health exposure – review and manage antenatal, maternity and gynaecology presentations
- Supportive hospital environment – work with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health teams
- Escalation pathways – elevate patient concerns appropriately to senior medical staff

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad women’s health patient mix, including antenatal patients, maternity presentations, gynaecology patients, acute reviews and patients requiring assessment, documentation, escalation or ongoing care.

Key Duties

- Support O&G; clinical cover across rostered shifts
- Review and manage antenatal, maternity and gynaecology presentations
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Assist with management plans and patient flow
- Escalate patient concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent O&G; Registrar-level experience
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work safely within scope and elevate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
