The role is based at DroneShield's Sydney headquarters, which houses corporate, commercial, engineering, and operational teams supporting the company's global growth and customer base.

About the role The Tax Analyst supports the Group Tax Manager and Director, Tax in delivering DroneShield's global tax compliance, tax accounting, governance and advisory activities. Based in Sydney, the role provides broad exposure across Australian and international corporate tax, GST and VAT, FBT and employment taxes, transfer pricing, global mobility, tax governance and tax technology. The role is suited to an early-career tax professional who is technically curious,



highly organised and keen to develop broad in-house tax capability within a fast-growing ASX-listed multinational business.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

Tax Compliance

- Prepare tax workpapers, reconciliations, data packs and supporting schedules for Australian and international filings

- Assist with BAS/GST, VAT, corporate income tax, FBT, withholding tax and other recurring compliance processes

- Coordinate information requests and maintain supporting evidence for external advisers, auditors and tax authorities

- Monitor deadlines and update the Group tax compliance calendar and payment trackers

Tax Accounting and Financial Reporting

- Prepare account reconciliations, permanent and temporary difference schedules and other tax effect accounting workpapers

- Assist with current and deferred tax calculations, journals and statutory tax disclosure support

- Perform general ledger and transaction reviews to identify potential tax issues and follow up anomalies

Tax Governance and Risk

- Maintain tax risk, advice, compliance, controls and training registers

- Support documentation of tax positions, technical analyses, procedures and reliance on external advice

- Assist with control testing, evidence retention, audit requests and tax authority information requests

- Identify potential risks, missing information or process weaknesses and escalate them promptly

Advisory, Research and Business Support

- Undertake directed tax technical research and prepare explicit draft summaries or memoranda

- Assist with analysis of contracts, cross-border transactions, employee arrangements and new business initiatives

- Support transfer pricing calculations, intercompany recharge processes and international tax projects

- Work with Finance, Payroll, People & Performance, Legal, Commercial and external advisers to obtain and validate tax information
