Position Information

Oran Park Public School is a large metropolitan K-6 school located on Dharawal land in the rapidly growing South Western Sydney corridor, with a current enrolment of approximately 1,410 students. The school comprises 52 mainstream classes and 8 support classes (Inclusive Hub) supporting students with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and autism. Our diverse and inclusive school community represents a wide range of cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach K-6 and approval to teach library or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education, with the ability to develop and deliver high-quality release from face-to-face programs.
2. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, working collaboratively with staff to support effective curriculum planning and implementation.
3.



Proven ability to develop a strong reading culture that engages diverse learners and supports literacy growth.
4. Ability to create and maintain a vibrant, inclusive and culturally responsive library environment through creativity, initiative and enthusiasm.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
