Our client is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Clinic Receptionist to join their growing team.
This is a casual role supporting telehealth services, where the ideal candidate will be one of the first points of contact for patients and will play an important role in ensuring their experience with is professional, welcoming and well organised.
We are looking for someone who communicates confidently, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable working in a healthcare workplace where privacy, discretion and professionalism are essential.
About the Role
As the Clinic Receptionist, you will support the day-to-day administration of the clinic and work closely with our doctors, nurses and broader clinic team.
Your responsibilities will include
- Answering incoming calls, emails and patient enquiries;
- Welcoming and checking in patients attending the clinic;
- Booking, confirming and managing patient appointments;
- Coordinating telehealth and in-clinic appointments;
- Assisting new patients with forms and general administrative requirements;
- Maintaining accurate patient information and administrative records;
- Processing consultation payments and issuing receipts;
- Assisting patients with basic telehealth access;
- Communicating patient messages to practitioners;
- Arranging follow-up appointments;
- Maintaining an organised and professional reception and waiting area; and
- Providing general administrative support to the clinic team.
This is a non-clinical role. Any medical or treatment-related questions are referred to the appropriate healthcare practitioner.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Confident speaking with patients over the phone and in person;
- Organised with good attention to detail;
- Comfortable using computers, email and online systems;
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment;
- Reliable and punctual;
- Respectful of patient privacy and confidentiality;
- Able to communicate sensitively and professionally;
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking assistance when required; and
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Previous reception, administration, customer service or healthcare experience would be highly regarded, but healthcare experience is not essential for the right candidate. Experience using Halaxy or another medical practice management system would also be an advantage, but training can be provided.
