We are currently looking for hard working and energetic Telecommunications Technician to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Install, connect and maintain telecommunications equipment, cabling and associated network infrastructure.
- Undertake NBN and fibre-optic installations, including cable termination, splicing, testing and maintenance.
- Install and route telecommunications cabling through buildings, pits, conduits and other network pathways.
- Install, connect and test telecommunications equipment and associated network components.
- Diagnose and rectify faults in telecommunications equipment, cabling and network connections using appropriate testing equipment.
- Conduct fibre-optic and telecommunications testing to verify cable and equipment performance.
- Perform inspections,



preventative maintenance and repairs on telecommunications infrastructure and equipment.
- Interpret telecommunications drawings, technical specifications, site plans and DBYD information for installation and maintenance works.
- Assist with NBN infrastructure works, including conduits, pits, underground cable pathways and associated telecommunications components.
- Maintain records of installation, testing, maintenance and fault-resolution activities and report completed works.
- Comply with WHS requirements, industry standards, site procedures and technical specifications when undertaking telecommunications works.

Qualification & Experience

- · Skill Level 3: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience
- · Strong skills in telecommunications cabling, fault-finding, testing and troubleshooting.
- · Ability to read telecommunications plans, technical drawings and DBYD information.
- · Experience in NBN and fibre-optic installation, splicing, testing and maintenance.
- · Open Cabler Licence, Construction White Card, valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to regional sites.
- · Solid WHS awareness, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
