About the Role

Gosford Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join its well-established mental health team. This role is focused on delivering high-quality psychiatric care within the hospital’s Adult Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit, supporting patients through short- to medium-term admissions for assessment, treatment, and recovery.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing psychiatric care in a multidisciplinary inpatient setting
- Supporting clinical decision-making and recovery-oriented treatment plans
- Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to teaching and training




- Participating in service development and promoting culturally protected practices
