Operations Manager - Electrical, HVAC & Trades

The Role

This is a senior operational leadership opportunity with full P&L; responsibility across the Electrical, HVAC and broader Trades division. You will oversee both service operations and installation/project teams, driving commercial performance, sustainable revenue growth and a high-accountability culture.

Key responsibilities include:

Owning revenue, profitability, margins and operational KPIs across the division

Leading large operational teams through capable frontline and functional leaders

Coaching, developing and holding leaders accountable for performance

Driving growth and productivity across service, installation and project operations

Ensuring jobs are delivered on time and to consistently high standards

Maintaining pricing discipline and a reliable customer experience

Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing continuous improvements

Upholding workplace health and safety, quality and compliance requirements

Using data and commercial insights to support sound decision-making

Success will be measured through financial performance, revenue growth, operational efficiency,



leadership development, compliance and customer outcomes.

About You

You are an experienced operations leader with robust commercial capability and a proven ability to manage through other leaders. You know how to balance financial performance, operational discipline, team development and customer expectations in a fast-moving service environment.

You will bring:

Senior operational leadership experience within trades, field services, construction, maintenance or a related sector

Demonstrated profit and loss ownership

Strong financial, analytical and commercial acumen

Experience leading large service or operational teams through managers and supervisors

A track record of improving revenue, profitability and productivity

The ability to build a high-performance culture based on accountability and continuous improvement

A practical approach to solving operational challenges

A strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service

Experience across both service and installation/project operations would be highly regarded

Senior leadership role with genuine ownership and influence

Full accountability for a substantial, multi-service division
