About the Role

n

Fraser Earthworks & Co is seeking an experienced and reliableTruck & Dog Driverto join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

n

This is a full time position working across civil construction, quarry and material haulage projects throughout the region. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their truck, understands their responsibilities as a professional heavy vehicle driver, and is willing to work as part of a flexible civil construction team.

n

Saturday availability is essential for this role. While the majority of work is undertaken during normal daytime operations, applicants must also be willing to undertakeoccasional night shift/project work when required.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Operating a Truck & Dog combination to transport quarry materials, soil, gravel and other construction materials.

n

Completing daily pre-starts, inspections and basic vehicle checks.

n

Operating safely and in accordance with NHVR, Chain of Responsibility, mass management and company requirements.

n

Understanding and monitoring vehicle, combination and axle weight limits.

n

Completing and submitting dockets, trip records and required documentation accurately and on time.

n

Using mobile apps and digital systems forquarry entry, allocations, dockets, load information and project requirements.

n

Communicating with allocations, quarry staff, supervisors and customers throughout the day.

n

Maintaining a clean, professional and well-presented truck.

n

Assisting with general operational requirements when needed.

What We're Looking For

n





Minimum2 years' Truck & Dog experienceor robust experience in a similar heavy vehicle role.

n

Saturday availability – essential.

n

Willingness to workoccasional night shifts/project workswhen required.

n

Strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety, mass limits and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

n

Confidence using a smartphone and awillingness to learn and use different apps and digital systems required by quarries, projects and Fraser operations.

n

Ability to complete dockets and paperwork accurately.

n

Good communication skills and the ability to follow allocations and instructions.

n

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

n

A strong commitment to safety and looking after company equipment.

n

Ability to work as part of a team and adapt when daily allocations or project requirements change.
