The Opportunity:

We have an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail- oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our collaborative and highly functional finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase order matching, general ledger reconciliations, controls review and testing , working collaboratively to maintain up-to- date supplier ledgers.

Day to day you will:

- Review and match pre-paid import invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner

- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers; respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and address any issues or concerns

- Assist in the review and testing of internal controls related to accounts payable processes

- Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen internal controls

- Generate and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports, and creditor related balance sheet reconciliations

- Assist with accurate and timely completion of month-end tasks

- Maintain and update accounts payable finance systems, including software applications and databases

- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements

About You:





- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Accounting or Finance

- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or related role

- Robust understanding of purchase order processing and matching.

- Advanced Excel skills with exposure to ERP systems

- Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise a large volume of tasks in order to meet deadlines.
