Our client is a high-profile NSW Government education organisation delivering a major technology and business transformation program.

This is a specialist testing opportunity supporting a large-scale program centred around PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Student Management Systems.

Role Description:

As an experienced Senior Test Analyst, you will work within a dedicated program Test Team, supporting testing across the full delivery lifecycle and working closely with Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, SMEs, business stakeholders and technology vendors.

The role has a strong focus on System Integration Testing (SIT), while also covering sprint testing, system testing, data migration, UAT, regression and production verification.

The successful candidate will need strong hands-on testing experience and the ability to understand complex business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.

Responsibilities:

- Test analysis: Analyse business requirements, technical requirements, user stories and use cases and convert them into clear test requirements

- Test planning: Develop test plans, scenarios and approaches across system, integration, UAT, regression and production verification testing

- Test case development: Create, maintain and execute comprehensive test cases based on defined test objectives

- System Integration Testing: Perform SIT across complex enterprise applications, interfaces and business processes

- PeopleSoft testing: Test PeopleSoft Campus Solutions functionality across areas such as Curriculum Management, Student Finance, Enrolments and Reporting





- Data migration: Prepare test data and undertake data migration testing, validation and reconciliation

- Sprint testing: Support testing activities within Agile delivery and development sprints

- UAT & regression: Support business acceptance testing and regression testing to ensure changes do not adversely affect existing functionality

- Defect management: Identify, document, track and manage defects through to resolution and closure

- JIRA & Zephyr: Use JIRA and Zephyr/JIRA for test management, defect tracking and requirements traceability

- Test execution: Undertake manual and automated test execution as required

- Test documentation: Maintain clear testing documentation and provide accurate reporting of testing outcomes, issues and progress

- Technical collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, developers, SMEs and vendors to investigate and resolve defects

- Requirements traceability: Ensure testing provides appropriate coverage against business and technical requirements

- Team collaboration: Work collaboratively within a large-scale transformation environment to deliver testing outcomes within agreed timeframes

Skills and Experience:

- Extensive experience working as a Senior Test Analyst / Test Analyst across complex technology, transformation or implementation programs

- Proven enterprise-level testing experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions





- Previous experience testing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions within an education or student management environment

- Strong understanding of functionality including Curriculum Management, Student Finance, Enrolments and Reporting

- Demonstrated experience across the testing lifecycle, including:

- Sprint Testing

- System Testing

- System Integration Testing (SIT)

- Data Migration Testing

- User Acceptance Testing

- Regression Testing

- Production Verification Testing

- Strong experience using JIRA and Zephyr/JIRA for test and defect management

- Strong test case design, execution and defect management capabilities

- Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and develop appropriate test coverage

- Experience working with complex integrations, interfaces and enterprise applications

- Solid understanding of test data preparation and data validation

- Experience working with Business Analysts, Technical Analysts, SMEs and vendors

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional Test Team

- Experience working within NSW Government or the education sector is highly desirable
