Solidbase Projects Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to work across our clients’ construction projects, including residential homes, commercial buildings and public spaces throughout Sydney.
This is a full-time opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to a variety of high-quality construction projects.
About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Certificate III or higher in Wall and Floor Tiling, or an equivalent relevant qualification
- At least two years of proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler
- Sound knowledge of tiling techniques, materials and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
- Good physical fitness and stamina
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexible availability when required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling and priming them to ensure proper tile adhesion
- Select suitable tiles and arrange them according to plans,
patterns and design specifications
- Measure and cut tiles accurately to fit around pipes, corners, edges and other obstacles
- Prepare and apply adhesives, mortar, grout and other required materials
- Install wall and floor tiles in the specified patterns, ensuring correct alignment and consistent spacing
- Apply grout and sealants to achieve a clean finish and protect tiled surfaces from moisture and wear
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with project specifications
- Replace damaged tiles, complete re-grouting and undertake general tiling repairs and maintenance
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their requirements, respond to concerns and provide practical recommendations
- Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas
