Company Description The Daily Aus is Australia's leading news source for young people. We make sense of the stories that matter, from interest rates to global markets, and we do it in a way that's accurate, accessible, and actually relevant to our audience's lives.
We're looking for a TikTok Creator who lives and breathes short-form video, thinks fast under pressure, and knows how to make complex or breaking stories land with a young Australian audience in under 60 seconds.
The Role: You'll be TDA's TikTok full-time or part time TikTok creator based in our Sydney office - repurposing and producing TDA's journalism for for TikTok, creating multiple videos a day for a young Australian audience. You'll sue within our editorial team, work closely with the wider multimedia and news team and play a key role in growing TDA's voice and viewership on TikTok.
What You'll Do:
- Research, write and produce multiple TikTok videos every day covering a range of news topics for a young Australian audience
- Turn complex or breaking stories into clear, accurate, short-form video scripts
- Pitch, present,
film and edit short form videos native to the platform
- Monitor trends across TikTok and pitch story ideas suited to short-form video
- Meet TDA's high standards for editorial content
- Collaborate with the wider news team across other video formats when needed
- Help grow TDA's TikTok viewership and engagement, providing monthly reporting and insights to leadership
