TOUR HOST/DRIVER – CASUAL/CONTRACT

Acacia Luxury Private Tours is looking for casual and contract Tour Host/Drivers to join our Melbourne team!

Established in 2009, we provide premium private touring experiences across Melbourne and regional Victoria for guests visiting from all over the world.

We’re looking for confident, personable people who know Melbourne/Victoria, love meeting new people and understand the level of service expected when looking after private luxury clients.

Previous guiding experience is advantageous, but not essential. Experience in luxury hotels, hospitality, tourism, aviation or another premium customer-facing environment is highly regarded.

Personality, local knowledge and exceptional people skills are a must.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Tour Host/Driver you’ll greet guests at their Melbourne accommodation and host them throughout their private touring experience in our luxury Mercedes vehicles.

You’ll be

- Driving and hosting private tours across Melbourne and regional Vic
- Sharing your local knowledge with guests and engaging them in your storytelling
- Keeping the itinerary running smoothly
- Liaising with wineries, restaurants and other venues
- Adapting to different guests, personalities and situations

Tours range from approximately 4 to 12 hours depending on the itinerary.

WHERE YOU’LL GO

Our touring includes, but is not limited to:

- Melbourne CBD, laneways and waterways
- Great Ocean Road

Grampians

Wilsons Promintory

- Yarra Valley
- Mornington Peninsula
- Phillip Island
- Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges

Your days may include wineries, restaurants, wildlife experiences, national parks, local neighbourhoods.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You need to be good with people.

We want someone who can meet new guests and make them feel comfortable,



hold a good conversation and naturally adjust to different personalities.

Some guests will want to chat all day. Others will want to enjoy the drive and take everything in.

A outstanding Tour Host knows the difference!

Because we operate in the luxury travel space, attention to detail matters. Impeccable personal presentation, professionalism and discretion are required.

YOU’LL NEED

- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong knowledge of Melbourne and Victoria
- Confidence hosting international guests from different cultures and backgrounds
- Exceptional driving record
- Reliability, organisation and punctuality
- Comfort with long regional drives
- The ability to think on your feet when plans change
- Flexibility for early starts and late finishes
- Availability across weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods is essential
- A current, full and unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to attain

Fluency in a second language would be highly regarded, particularly Spanish, German, French or Italian.

CASUAL AVAILABILITY

Our Tour Hosts are generally contacted monthly for their availability, with rosters built around confirmed tours and particularly over peak holiday periods.
