Absolute Auto Body is looking for an experienced and skilled Tradesman Panel Beater to join our team in Orange, NSW. This is a full-time position at our workshop, where you will be an integral part of a team which delivers high-quality smash repair work to our valued clients across the Central West.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect and assess vehicles to plan the most appropriate repair procedures.

- Remove, reshape and straighten damaged vehicle panels. Replace and fit new panels to vehicles.

- Cut, join, and weld replacement sections using specialist equipment.

- Prepare surfaces for painting by filing, sanding and grinding surfaces smooth.

- Inspect and evaluate completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and expectations of all stakeholders.

- Communicate effectively with workshop management and office staff to coordinate parts and inform repair progress and timelines.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Collaborate with other trades people and apprentices.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Current panel beating qualification, such as Certificate III in Automotive Repair Technology or similar.





- Technical proficiency in operating a range of hand, power and panel beating tools.

- Strong attention to detail to ensure safety, structural integrity, and invisible repair.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a secure workplace.

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

- Current Australian driver’s licence.
