The Role

We're looking for an experienced Trial Manager to support trial planning and execution for a Defence weapons and rocket motor test and evaluation program. This is a genuinely senior technical role -- you'll bring deep flight test experience, mentoring junior trial staff while managing the coordination, scheduling and governance of complex trial activities.

You'll work across Defence, United States Government and industry partners, supporting flight test activities at Woomera Test Range and contributing to the program's broader Test &

- Evaluation planning across all stages of rocket motor manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Support, coordinate and develop trial planning activities, identifying key milestones, documents, roles and outcomes
- Support and mentor stakeholder engagement across Defence, United States Government and industry partners
- Support and mentor logistics management of trial activities, including resource allocation and scheduling
- Support and mentor development of trial documentation to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes within cost and schedule




- Support development and management of the Project Master Schedule and mentor management of the Trials sub-schedule
- Manage and maintain Project WBS and schedule documentation, including trial documentation review and development
- Coordinate trial governance activities and support preparation of periodic trial review data
- Support development of a Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) process as it pertains to trial management
- Provide mentoring, guidance and oversight to develop trial staff planning and performance review skillsets
- Complete flight test activities, including traceable artefacts required for Test &
- Evaluation
- Support supervision of test participants, including briefs and debriefs as required
- Contribute to the development of the Production Verification Testing Master Plan across all rocket motor manufacturing stages

Required

- Current NV1 security clearance
- Previous experience writing or contributing to Flight Test Plans, Product Verification Test Master Plans, Flight Procedures, Flight Patterns, Weapon Danger Areas and Bench Tests for Telemetry
- Tertiary qualified Explosive Ordnance (Armament) Engineer
- Prior experience planning and executing complex flight test (weapon or aircraft) activities at Woomera Test Range
- Test &
- Evaluation qualification and/or experience, in line with the T&E; Competency Framework
- Previously held Level 1 delegation in an Air Warfare Centre T&E; Accountable Unit (or equivalent)
- Minimum 8 years'





experience within Defence

- Robust social and professional ability to work as an effective team member, make responsible decisions and work with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Defence Writing Standards and internal Defence processes
- Demonstrated experience with complex stakeholder management

Engagement Details

ASAP start, through to 30 July 2027, with possible extension.
