ABOUT THE ROLE

Matthew Flinders Anglican College is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and engaging Upper Strings Tutor to join our vibrant strings program.

This role includes the delivery of small group violin instruction within the College’s Year 2 String Immersion Program each Tuesday, while also contributing to the ongoing development of emerging string musicians through teaching within the College’s existing string program. The role currently incorporates just over one day of teaching across the Immersion Program and studio teaching, with potential for future expansion.

The current rate aligns with the Queensland Music Teachers Association Professional Member Rates.

ABOUT YOU The successful applicant will:

- Hold, or be willing to obtain, a QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Have relevant teaching qualifications or music education experience (preferred)




- Be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Have a warm, engaging personality with strong classroom presence and “warm demand”
- Be confident and deliver high-quality music instruction to students across a range of abilities and learning styles
- Demonstrate excellent communication and rapport with students and families
- Have experience preparing students for concerts, eisteddfods, ensembles, and AMEB exams
- Have an understanding of and commitment to child protection and the ethos of an Anglican school
- Committed to fostering a love of music and inspiring young musicians to thrive
