LGC Rail is seeking experienced Vacuum Truck Operators to join our growing team. Working across rail, civil, maintenance and infrastructure projects, you will play a critical role in supporting safe excavation, service exposure, environmental management and project delivery across metropolitan and regional WA.

The Opportunity
As a Vacuum Truck Operator, you will operate and maintain vacuum excavation equipment while supporting rail and civil infrastructure works. You will work closely with supervisors, project teams and clients to ensure all activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum excavation trucks and associated equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct non-destructive digging and service location support activities
- Complete pre-start inspections and daily maintenance checks
- Ensure compliance with rail corridor, site and client safety requirements
- Accurately complete required documentation and reporting
- Assist with project and shutdown works as required
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care
- Promote and uphold LGC's safety-first culture
About You To be successful in this role, you must possess:
Essential Requirements
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver's Licence
- Minimum 12 months' experience operating Vacuum Trucks
- Construction White Card
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screening
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including regional and shutdown work when required
Highly Desirable
- Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card
- Rail Safety Worker qualifications
- Confined Space Entry
- Working at Heights
- First Aid certification
- High Risk Work Licences
- Experience working in rail, civil or infrastructure environments
