The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Venue and Events Officer to help deliver exceptional experiences at the Goldfields Arts Centre, one of the region's leading arts and cultural venues. This role is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, supporting event delivery and ensuring every visitor enjoys a welcoming and memorable experience.

Whether it's a major touring performance, community event, exhibition or private function,



you'll play a key role in bringing events to life and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and in front of the curtain.

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Goldfields Arts Centre, you will lead front-of-house operations and help coordinate the day-to-day activities that contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse annual events program.

Key responsibilities include

- Managing front-of-house operations and customer service delivery.
- Coordinating casual staff including ushers, bar staff, merchandise and box office teams.
- Overseeing bar operations including stock management and compliance requirements.
- Supporting performances, exhibitions, community events and venue hires.
- Working closely with artists, hirers, production teams and contractors.
- Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Maintaining venue presentation, safety and operational standards.
- Acting as the senior on-site representative when required.

About You

You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with people. You are highly organised, adaptable and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in customer service, venue operations, hospitality, events, arts administration or a similar field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience coordinating staff, volunteers or operational teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.




- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience using ticketing, booking or point-of-sale systems.
- A passion for creating positive experiences for customers and the community.

Essential Requirements

- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) accreditation.
- Approved Manager certification under the Liquor Control Act 1988 (WA).
