Omni is seeking highly motivated candidates to join our team as Vetting Analysts delivering outcomes for our government client in assessing applicants for the highest-level security clearances. You will be an integral part of a dynamic new area undergoing a period of growth where collaboration, flexibility and continuous development is encouraged.

As a Vetting Analyst you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of vetting services. Based on site, you will support your Team Lead to deliver vetting services to Omni’s clients. You will use your research skills to gather and analyse information and make security assessments and recommendations about clearance suitability in accordance with standards set by the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and other policies and guidelines.

You will be empathetic, conscientious, and resilient. You will be sensitive to the customs, practices, cultures, and beliefs of others, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. You will have strong communication and listening skills and the ability to form strong working relationships with people from different backgrounds.

Importantly, you will be comfortable discussing sensitive and personal information and strictly managing it in accordance with the PSPF and client policies and standards.

You will come from a personnel vetting, intelligence, Defence or law enforcement background and bring strong research, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to gather, assess and interpret sensitive information in line with government policy and risk-based decision-making frameworks.



You will be confident managing a caseload autonomously, conducting information gathering interviews, engaging with applicants and referees, and preparing clear written assessments that identify residual risk and areas requiring further information.

Key Accountabilities

- Deliver Vetting services to Omni clients in accordance with relevant policies, processes and agreed KPIs.

- Undertake Quality Assurance activities, as required.

- Contribute to health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives within the Team and Branch.

- Manage assigned resources (equipment).

- Provide timely reporting or escalation of issues to the Team Leader.

- Identify areas for process optimisation and efficiency improvements within the Team and Branch.

- Contribute to a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and accountability.

- Collaborate with Team and Branch members to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.

- Ensure compliance with best practice, Defence Industry Security Program, Protective Security Policy Framework, Defence Security Policy Framework, Australian Privacy Principles, recommended record-keeping requirements, client, and Omni policies.

Essential Requirements The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees in this role with Omni.

- Be an Australian Citizen





- Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Top Secret Positive Vetting (PV) or Privileged Access (PA) Australian Government Security Clearance

- Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting)

- Have the ability to work fulltime on site – no work from home

- Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.

In addition, this role will require:

- Analytical experience (vetting, intelligence or investigations).

- Ability to travel to conduct vetting assessments as required
