Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will have a broad and highly commercial in-house legal role, supporting Crossfield Energy across its operations, projects and corporate activities. This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants to move beyond simply providing legal advice and become a trusted commercial adviser to the executive team and operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

n

Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to the business and senior management.

n

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.

n

Advising on resources and mining-related matters, projects and operational activities.

n

Supporting procurement, contracting and major commercial transactions.

n

Advising on employment and workplace relations matters.

n

Assisting with corporate, governance and regulatory matters.

n

Identifying and managing legal and commercial risk.

n

Working closely with external legal advisers where specialist advice is required.

n

Developing and improving legal processes,



precedents and contract management practices.

n

Partnering with operational and commercial teams to support the achievement of business objectives.

About you

n

Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience (PAE).

n

Experience working in the resources, mining, energy or related sector highly regarded.

n

Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience.

n

The ability to provide practical legal advice with a transparent understanding of commercial objectives.

n

Strong drafting and analytical skills.

n

Experience dealing directly with senior executives and business stakeholders.

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

n

The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

n

A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to legal and commercial issues.
