OSHC Educator (Casual)

St Augustine’s Parish School is a vibrant and inclusive Catholic community in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Grounded in the values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence, we provide a nurturing learning environment for children from Reception to Year 6. Our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service plays a vital role in supporting families by offering a safe, engaging, and welcoming space for children beyond the school day.
About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our OSHC team on a casual basis. As an OSHC Educator, you will work under general supervision to help deliver high‑quality programs that support children’s wellbeing, learning, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating OSHC and Vacation Care programs.
- Support children’s inclusion, wellbeing, and daily routines, including personal care when required.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, school policies, and the National Quality Framework.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to general administrative tasks.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional learning.
About You:
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of St Augustine’s Parish School.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
- Experience working with children, including those with additional needs (highly desirable).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions in varied situations.
- Physical capacity to engage in active play and safely set up learning environments.
- Understanding of skilled boundaries, confidentiality, and child‑safe practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Children’s Services, Education Support, or a related discipline (or equivalent competencies).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) training.
- Approved First Aid qualification (as per ACECQA requirements).
- Ability to meet Work Health & Safety obligations.
