About the role The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out day to day vineyard and livestock duties as directed by the Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Operation and maintenance of a range of modern vineyard tractors and equipment
- Manual pruning, canopy management and training of vines
- Irrigation maintenance
- Safe handling, mixing and application of chemicals
- Fencing and trellis maintenance
- Sheep husbandry
About you
- Be reliable with a strong work ethic
- Be able to work well in a team
- Have considerable experience in a farming / vineyard environment including tractor and machinery operation
- Be physically fit and able to undertake outdoor and manual tasks
- Be able to work unsupervised and show initiative
- Be adaptable with working hours during peak periods of operations, mainly during vintage (night shift and weekend work is required)
- Hold a current drivers license
- Holding a MR/HR/Forklift and Pest Controllers (Chemcert) license is preferred
About us Lacey Viticulture provides vineyard management services to our clients, comprising 120 hectares of vineyards across the McLaren Vale region. In conjunction with our vineyard activities, we run a sheep and lamb business.
Salary will be negotiated based on applicant's experience.
