Ready to get stuck into complex rebuilds and precision mechanical work? FindStaff is partnering with a leading engineering and industrial services business that supports some of Australia's key mining, rail, manufacturing and heavy industry operations. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality workshop and field services, they're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their growing Dandenong South team.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be working on a variety of rotating equipment, including industrial pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems and mechanical assemblies, carrying out repairs, overhauls, rebuilds and fault-finding to keep critical assets operating at peak performance.

What You'll Be Doing

- Strip, assess, repair and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment
- Service and overhaul industrial gearboxes, bearings, seals, shafts and associated components
- Repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Carry out fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Use manual lathes, milling machines and boring equipment for component repair and restoration
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
- Complete inspections, measurements and quality reports
- Support occasional site work when required

What We're Looking For
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Experience within heavy industrial,



maintenance, mining, manufacturing or engineering workshop environments
- Strong experience with pumps, rotating equipment, gearboxes or similar mechanical assets
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong safety focus and problem-solving ability
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Highly Regarded
- Dogging, Rigging, Forklift and/or Confined Space tickets
- Electrical licence
- Manual driver's licence
- Field service experience
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
