Quality Control Technician

An exciting chance is available for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing environment in Adelaide.

This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring manufactured and incoming components meet stringent dimensional and quality requirements. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams, using advanced inspection equipment and data to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up and operating CMM equipment using software such as PC-DMIS, VDMIS or similar

- Performing dimensional inspections of complex components, assemblies and tooling

- Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T; standards and customer specifications

- Using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges and surface plates

- Maintaining accurate and traceable inspection records in line with ISO 9001 and AS9100D

- Analysing inspection data to identify trends, root causes and areas for improvement

- Preparing inspection reports, control charts and capability studies

- Supporting investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions

- Working closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve quality issues

- Supporting customer complaint investigations and corrective/preventative actions

- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, Lean,



Kaizen and Six Sigma

- Supporting quality awareness and manufacturing process improvements

- Reviewing and improving quality documentation and processes

About You

You will have a strong background in quality control, inspection or metrology, ideally within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment.

You will bring:

- Engineering qualification, diploma or relevant industry experience

- Strong experience operating CMMs and precision measurement equipment

- Advanced understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T;

- Knowledge of quality methodologies including APQP, SPC, FMEA, Kaizen and Six Sigma

- Strong understanding of AS9100D and quality management principles

- Strong computer and analytical skills

- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments

- A genuine interest in continuous improvement and improving manufacturing processes
