Salt N Spice Group Pty Ltd operates multiple hospitality venues within the Port Stephens region, including Zenith Café & Restaurant in Shoal Bay, Birubi Bistro, and Magnolia. Positioned within a high-traffic coastal tourism precinct in Shoal Bay, NSW 2315, Zenith Café & Restaurant delivers contemporary café and restaurant-style dining tailored to both local residents and a steady flow of domestic and interstate visitors. The venue operates in a fast-paced hospitality setting that requires strong operational oversight, efficient staff coordination, and consistent customer service standards to maintain daily trading performance and uphold the business’s established reputation within the local hospitality market.

Within this operating environment, the position of Full-Time Restaurant Manager is operationally essential to the ongoing success and growth of the business. The role is responsible for overseeing venue operations, supervising front-of-house staff, coordinating service delivery, managing rostering and workflow efficiency, monitoring stock control and customer satisfaction outcomes, and supporting the broader operational objectives across the group’s hospitality venues. As part of its continued growth strategy, Salt N Spice Group Pty Ltd is seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager in a permanent full time position.

The role offers a salary range of AUD $75,000 to AUD $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with the successful candidate's skills, qualifications, and industry experience. Job tasks and responsibilities:





Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations

Deliver superior service and maximise customer satisfaction

Control operational costs and identify measures to meet budget

Undertake all aspects of staff management, including staff rosters

Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices

Ability to estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products

Be committed to exceeding guest expectations

Ensuring all staff are adhering to approved work practices and guidelines

Ability to work closely with the Head Chef to create a team dynamic between BOH and FOH

Ability to develop and implement menus with the Senior Chef team

Working knowledge of OH&S;/WH&S;

Review and prepare reports for senior management.

Drive to succeed and grow within the restaurant group.

To be considered for this role, you should:

Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.

Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.

A relevant Diploma qualification and at least 2-3 years of employment experience within the hospitality industry

Have a current RSA certificate

Customer-focused and passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences

Display excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills

Leading from the front, ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like every day

Candidates must hold Australian or NZ Citizenship or have the capacity to permanently work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
