Nurse Next Door is expanding! We are seeking compassionate Support Workers to build dedicated local care teams across two core hubs:

Availability must include some evenings (4pm-8pm).

n

In this role, you will provide a broad spectrum of care - ranging from specialised high-care support to everyday social companionship, enabling our clients to maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes. We are looking for dependable staff who want to make a real difference in their local community.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Providing a wide range of tailored support, from social companionship and transport to medical appointments/outings, through to complex daily care.
n
- Delivering specialised care and support for clients with complex needs, including Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.
n
- Executing safe manual handling, including two-person assists and the use of appropriate mobility equipment (e.g., hoists).
n
- Providing personal care assistance with dignity, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
n
- Carrying out domestic assistance and meal preparation to maintain a safe and comfortable home setting.
n
- Building meaningful, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
n

- Values-Driven: You bring a compassionate, patient,



and professional approach to working with vulnerable individuals, always prioritising their dignity and choices.

- Qualifications: A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent experience.
n
- Experience: Confidence in complex care and manual handling, or a strong willingness to learn.
n
- Compliance: Current First Aid and CPR certification, a valid Working with Children Check, and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
n
- Transport: A current driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
n
