About the Role
n
This is not a "sit in the truck all day" driving job.
n
You'll be responsible for completing local steel deliveries throughout Brisbane while assisting the warehouse and fabrication team when you're back in the yard.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Safely operate an MR truck for local deliveries
n
- Load, unload and secure steel products
n
- Complete delivery documentation and proof of delivery requirements
n
- Use the DeTrack POD system
n
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections
n
- Ensure loads are transported safely and legally
n
- Assist with general yard duties when not on delivery runs
n
- Work closely with warehouse and fabrication teams
n
- Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements
n
- Maintain a skilled attitude when dealing with customers
n
n
What We're Looking For

We're after someone with strong driving skills and a positive work ethic. Whether you've worked with steel, construction products or general freight, we're primarily looking for someone who is reliable,
safety-conscious and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

- Current MR Driver's Licence
n
- Proven safe driving history
n
- Ability to undertake physical loading and unloading duties
n
- Strong understanding of load restraint and vehicle safety
n
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
n
- Good communication skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
n
- Current PPE and commitment to workplace safety
n

Highly Regarded

- Steel industry experience
n
- Construction materials delivery experience

- Fabrication workshop exposure

- Forklift Licence (LF)

- Warehouse and yard experience

- Experience using electronic POD systems

- Knowledge of load restraint requirements
