The Shift Manager is responsible for running a safe, efficient, and profitable shift in the restaurant, ensuring every customer receives a quick, accurate, and friendly experience in line with brand standards.

Key responsibilities

Open or close the store as rostered

Allocate crew across stations based on forecasted demand

Adjust staffing in real time to manage speed of service and labour cost

Monitor food safety and quality throughout the shift, completing required checks in eOPS and Donesafe

Step in immediately to correct any deviation from standard

Handle customer complaints on the floor

Coach crew on performance in the moment

Escalate anything requiring manager or owner attention

Manage cash handling and till reconciliation for their shift

Maintain a clean and safe environment and brief the next shift manager on anything outstanding
