We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team based in Eagle Farm, on a 12-month fixed-term contract, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing and helping ensure our people are paid accurately, compliantly and on time, every time.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail of payroll, knows their way around awards and Enterprise Agreements, and takes pride in delivering a great service to employees and the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of your allocated pay runs from start to finish, making sure everything is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. Your day-to-day will include:

- Managing the end-to-end payroll process, including time and attendance inputs and employee data
- Ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across each pay cycle
- Working with time and attendance systems, including interpreting pay rules, testing changes and helping ensure systems are configured correctly
- Reviewing and processing allowances, deductions, superannuation and other payroll payments
- Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and year-end activities
- Monitoring payroll compliance across areas such as tax, superannuation, working patterns and leave entitlements
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries, escalating issues where appropriate

About you





You’ll bring solid payroll experience and be confident working in a complex business environment where accuracy and compliance really matter. Ideally, you’ll have:

- Previous experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards and employment legislation
- Experience interpreting EBAs and translating pay conditions into time and attendance/payroll rules
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, controls, tax, superannuation and employee entitlements
- The ability to perform off-system payroll calculations and identify discrepancies
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and numeracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear and professional communication skills
- A strong customer-service mindset and genuine focus on the employee experience
