Public Housing Security Officers - Multiple Roles

MSS Security is seeking professional and reliable Security Officers to join our team across public housing sites throughout Melbourne.

We are recruiting for three separate roles:

Foot Patrol Security Officer

- Conduct regular foot patrols across designated public housing sites.
- Monitor buildings, common areas, entrances, car parks and surrounding grounds.
- Identify and respond to security risks, hazards and suspicious behaviour.
- Assist residents, visitors and stakeholders professionally.
- Report and escalate incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Control Room Operator

- Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios and security systems.
- Receive and assess incident information and requests for assistance.
- Coordinate Foot and Mobile Patrol Officers to incidents.
- Maintain accurate incident records and communications.
- Escalate incidents to management, Police or Emergency Services when required.

Mobile Patrol Operator

- Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc vehicle patrols across designated sites.
- Monitor buildings, car parks, entrances and external areas.
- Respond to alarms, incidents and requests for assistance.




- Identify suspicious activity, property damage and security vulnerabilities.
- Maintain communication with the Control Room and accurately report incidents.

Carlton | Collingwood | Fitzroy | Prahran | South Melbourne | Richmond | North Melbourne | Williamstown | Flemington | Melbourne Surrounding Suburbs

Requirements:

- Full Australian working rights.
- Valid Victorian Security Licence.
- First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Full Victorian Driver Licence required for Mobile Patrol Operator.
- Previous security experience highly regarded.
