The Role

The Senior Functional Consultant is central to bridging the realms of technical capability with practical business use, as a specialist in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI technology capabilities.

Possessing robust technical skills and an emerging passion for AI, the consultant's strength lies in understanding and translating business operations and objectives into technological solutions and communicating these to our clients. By understanding both business operations and technological capabilities, the Senior Functional Consultant plays a crucial role in making sure that Increment engagements are user-centric and bring to life the value of technology to meet the needs of clients.

Although the role demands a current focus and expertise in AI and Copilot, the Senior Functional Consultant needs to be willing and capable of shifting attention to differing technologies , if necessary, in line with the needs of the market and overall skillsets within Increment.

- You are comfortable (even excited!) about presenting to or training groups of people on technology capabilities to a detailed level, knowing what really matters and how to promote the value to audiences of all skill levels

- You have a skillset in Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI but you will be excited by pivoting to new technologies as the market evolves. As Microsoft 365 Copilot is relatively new,



you will bring experience from alternate Microsoft and third-party technologies.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities listed have a current focus on Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI technologies, however Increment may require you to expand your activities across other Microsoft technologies in line with business growth and demand:

- Act as a product Subject Matter Expert (SME) and maintain currency of product knowledge for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI technologies, understanding product and market changes

- Run customer engagements showcasing Microsoft technology. Those focussed on Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI product capabilities typically include:

- Product demonstrations showing the “Art of the Possible”

- Facilitated design and business scenario discovery

- Training sessions and prompt-a-thons

- Q&A; style support sessions

- Low-code AI agent build

- SharePoint communication site builds for housing of on-demand learning

- Environment readiness assessments and reports

- Developing and presenting AI transformation roadmaps

- Work as a SME on customer project engagements to configure Microsoft 365 Copilot and create agents in Copilot studio

- Articulate commercial value and return on investment in Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI technologies in a manner that resonates with clients

- Scope Increment engagement offerings to meet needs identified in the market and in response to client needs

- Facilitate training, awareness and adoption sessions on Microsoft technology on client projects for audiences of varied sizes and skill level (at times in-person at client sites). These may be for differing audiences such as end-users, executives, administrators or change champions.

- Perform executive coaching and 1-on-1 training with senior business leaders

- Create training materials and presentations focussed on drawing out the business outcomes and benefits of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI

- Elicit customer requirements in presales engagements, and propose tailored scope offerings while maximising available Microsoft programmatic funding

- Work with other technologists and team members to develop solution offerings, effort estimates, delivery approaches and roadmaps a to meet customer needs and dimensions

- Produce project or proposal materials / content such as solution overview, frameworks or models to communicate approach, proposed solutions, strategic alignment and business value





- Pivot Subject Matter Expertise to other Microsoft technologies in line with market demands, upskilling efficiently if required.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

- 2 to 3 years relevant industry experience

Desirable Qualifications

- Microsoft Product certifications demonstrating Microsoft technology expertise

- Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or similar

- Qualifications or formal training in AI related fields

Skills and Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in IT roles; demonstrated experience in roles such as training, organisational change management, transformation and innovation, solutions analyst / consultant, business analysis are highly desirable

- Demonstrated experience as a functional consultant / similar role illustrating in-depth, detailed working knowledge of Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI technologies

- Ability to build agents in Copilot Studio

- Understanding of agent build process in Azure Foundry (ability to build is high regarded but not required)

- High-level understanding of Microsoft’s available security functionality and tools to support secure use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and agentic AI

- Demonstrated experience as a functional consultant / similar role illustrating in-depth, detailed working knowledge of a given Microsoft 365 technology area, prior to Copilot/AI technologies emerging

- Intermediate level of knowledge about the applications within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, their functionality, and the dependencies between applications

- Ability to present as a skilled consultant with confident, refined and articulate presentation skills

- Demonstrated experience speaking to senior stakeholders, large groups, clients/customers in scenarios such as webinars, training or other presentations

- Skilled in producing training materials, facilitated workshop content, models and solution overviews and presentations, predominantly MS PowerPoint

- Deep communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to critically assess AI inputs and outputs for quality, accuracy and value

- Ability to prioritise effectively to balance competing demands and deadlines

- Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent engagements

- Ability to easily and efficiently learn new technologies
