The RMA Project involves the ongoing development and raising of the Red Mud Dam through major civil construction and earthworks activities.
Works include embankment construction, bulk earthworks, drainage, borrow pit operations, haul roads, and material placement and trimming.

This is a Gladstone-based residential role, open only to candidates currently living in Gladstone or the surrounding areas.

About You

- Current RII Excavator Operator qualification
- Minimum 3 years' civil earthworks excavator experience
- Proven final trim experience – this is essential
- Proven experience operating 30T–50T excavators
- Strong GPS machine control experience
- Ability to complete final trim accurately to design, levels and specifications
- Ability to read and work from civil designs and site requirements
- Strong understanding of civil construction and earthworks
- Previous experience with dams, tailings, bulk earthworks or similar civil projects will be highly regarded
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a project environment
- Ability to work effectively with Supervisors, Engineers and other operators




- Strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

- Gladstone residents only – applicants must currently live in Gladstone or surrounding areas
- FIFO and relocation assistance are not available
- Candidates from a mining background must demonstrate substantial civil earthworks and final trim experience to be considered
- Previous experience working on dam, tailings or major earthworks projects will be highly regarded
