Service Advisor

Are you a customer-focused Service Advisor who enjoys being at the centre of a busy workshop operation?

Penske is looking for an organised and proactive Service Advisor to join our team in Kalgoorlie. This is a great opportunity to combine your customer service, administration and mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you'll play a key role in coordinating workshop activity, keeping customers informed and ensuring jobs progress efficiently from initial booking through to completion.

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating and scheduling workshop bookings alongside the Service Superviso
- Keeping customers updated on repair progress and expected completion times
- Preparing accurate and timely customer quotations and following up on outstanding quotes
- Providing administrative support to the Service Supervisor and workshop Technicians
- Managing customer enquiries across the phone and front counter
- Opening and closing jobs and maintaining job registers
- Raising purchase orders and processing payments
- Monitoring Work in Progress (WIP) and workshop bookings
- Building strong, ongoing relationships with customers
- Working with the workshop team to resolve customer queries and service issues
- Identifying opportunities to maximise parts and service sales through upselling and cross-selling
- Ensuring service documentation, approvals and processes meet company requirements.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings strong customer service skills alongside an understanding of a mechanical, parts or service environment.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Previous experience in a Service Advisor, Service Administrator,



Service Coordinator or similar position
- Experience within a mechanical, automotive, heavy vehicle, mining equipment or related service environment
- Mechanical or parts knowledge, with trade or technical experience highly regarded
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working with technical catalogues, bulletins and support information
- Competent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- A proactive, professional and customer-first approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.
