Our company heritage and industry leadership dates back to 1937. We are a major grower and processor of eggs and value-added egg products operating 9 company farms near the regional centres of Bendigo, Ballarat, Shepparton, and Geelong, as well as maintaining 2 major grading floors and a processing facility.

About the role

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will assist with the overall management of the site, helping to ensure strong standards in workplace health and safety, animal welfare, food safety, production, compliance and farm maintenance. You will supervise farm operators, support training and induction, maintain records, monitor shed conditions and help ensure operations run smoothly across the farm. This role includes early starts, evening work and weekend work, including working every second weekend on an alternating roster with the Farm Manager / 2IC.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the Farm Manager with daily farm operations and site leadership.

- Supervising farm operators and allocating duties safely and effectively.

- Monitoring bird health, welfare, feed, water, lighting, ventilation and shed conditions.

- Ensuring eggs are collected, handled, stored and transferred in line with quality and food safety requirements.

- Supporting compliance with OHS, biosecurity, hygiene,



sanitation and Egg Standards Australia requirements.

- Assisting with farm and machinery maintenance within your skills and training.

- Maintaining accurate records, documentation, alarm systems and operational reporting.

- Training, inducting and supporting employees, labour hire staff and contractors onsite.

About you

- Experience in agriculture, poultry, farming or a similar operational environment.

- People management, communication and training skills.

- Robust awareness of food safety, animal welfare and workplace health and safety requirements.

- Good organisational, scheduling and time management skills.

- Confidence with record keeping, documentation and basic computer use.

- Problem-solving ability and a calm, practical approach to daily challenges.

- Current Australian driver licence.

- Ability to work in poultry sheds and farm environments, including exposure to dust, odours, noise, animals and changing temperatures.

- Ability to work early starts, weekends, public holidays and additional hours when operationally required.
