About Tank Environmental Systems:
A division of Mechanical Equipment Group (MEG), Tank Enviro Systems is the exclusive distributor of Brentwood USA – Polychem Systems and associated products. Our head office and warehouse are located on the Central Coast of NSW, providing strong support to our largest market in the Sydney basin. However, this is a national role, with opportunities to manage and develop relationships with existing customers and future prospects across Australia.
With over 85 years’ combined experience in Non-Metallic and Metallic Sedimentation Scraper Systems and Power Transmission products, Tank Environmental Systems has an outstanding reputation in the Australian wastewater industry, covering all phases from design and supply to maintenance and installation and commissioning support.
About the role:
The Business Development/Project Sales Executive role is responsible for forensically building client relationships and expanding the client base for Polychem Scraper Systems and associated wastewater treatment products manufactured by Brentwood Industries (USA).
This role involves researching and uncovering opportunities, initiating early conversations about projects that are coming up for tender, and leveraging existing connections to build deep relationships with decision-makers before handing the sales opportunity over to the technical tendering team for the submission of solution-focused proposals across multiple water authorities, EPC contractors and industrial clients throughout Australia.
It will see you day to day:
- Building a robust opportunity pipeline and accurately forecasting sales revenue
- Maintaining effective working relationships with customers and the technical team
- Proactively engaging with water authorities, consultants, and EPCs
- Building and maintaining strong working knowledge of products and offerings
- Actively monitoring upcoming infrastructure opportunities
- Assisting with bid strategy and tender responses
- Negotiating commercial terms to achieve balanced risk and profitability
- Representing Tank Enviro at relevant industry events
- Preparing monthly dashboard reports
- Tracking competitor activity and regulatory changes to uncover sales opportunities.
About you:
You probably describe yourself as a driven, confident, outgoing, and persuasive individual, with a strong commitment to results and a positive response to pressure. You’re passionate about building and developing relationships, yet you’re not afraid to engage in conversations that challenge clients’ thinking.
You thrive when given the opportunity to use your initiative and take ownership of your role. You enjoy taking the lead in an environment that is dynamic and frequently changing, where you can apply creativity to solve problems for your clients.
You’re comfortable taking informed risks and operate best when given the freedom to act independently and take control of your own activities. Accountability is a key driver for you and while you may delegate detail work readily, you actively take responsibility for following up to ensure tasks are performed within the agreed timeframe and to the expected standard.
Driven by a need to achieve KPIs and see the organisation you work for succeed, you actively source new revenue generating opportunities from both existing customers and new prospects.
What you bring to the role:
- Ability to quickly react and adapt to changes
- Natural warmth and a persuasive, engaging communication style that helps you build deep relationships and achieve revenue growth
- Ability to solve problems swiftly and creatively while handling a variety of activities and priorities
- A sense of urgency to get things done quickly without compromising on standards
- A fluent, lively, and enthusiastic personality
- Initiative, ideas, and creative problem-solving approach
- Strong follow-through and personal accountability for results.
On offer is a highly competitive remuneration package including a salary range of between $100,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation, a company vehicle, laptop, phone and sales driven bonus scheme.
You’ll enjoy a reasonably high degree of autonomy once thoroughly familiar with the company’s products and processes. You’ll be operating from the office in Lisarow on the Central Coast of NSW, with an expectation that you’ll be based in the office every day in the initial stages of employment, reducing to 1 – 2 days in the office per week once fully proficient.
Interstate travel is also part of the role where you’ll be representing Tank Enviro at relevant industry events and expos.
What you must have to apply for this role:
- Previous experience in a sales role within the wastewater sector
- Full working rights to work in Australia
