Empower Care Pty Ltd is urgently seeking support workers for SIL housing in Toowoomba.

Tasks and Duties of a Support worker may include:

- Week day shifts, minium 8 hours plus.

- Attending social and recreational events with the participant.

- Accompaning the participant to appointments.

- Some meal preparation and encouraging healthy eating.

- Assisting with medication.

- Cleaning, shopping and assisting the participant with daily tasks.

- Providing companionship and taking a genuine interest in the participant and his interests.

- Encouraging the participant to engage in activities in the community.

- Supporting the participant to develop recent hobbies and interests.

- Encouraging the participant to make decisions for himself and feel confident doing so.





- The support worker will be required to complete shift notes at the end of each support.

- No personal care required.

Applicants should have the following qualifications prior to working with participants:

- Current First Aid and CPR Accreditation

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- National Criminal History (Police) Check

- Covid -19 Vaccination

- Relevant industry qualification

- Valid QLD driving licence and fully insured vehicle

- Assist with Medication skillset

- Basic medication administration competency required

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
