North Sydney Council is collecting personal information from you as part of the recruitment and selection process. Council is committed to protecting your personal information and our policy on privacy and personal information represents local government best practice. North Sydney Council is an agency under definition of the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.

Council will also comply with the Health Privacy Principles in the following ways:

- Your vaccination status will only be used for business purposes and for application as required under Council’s COVIDSafe Plan/s.
- To ensure accuracy, Council will only accept information regarding your vaccination status from you.




- Your vaccination status may be shared with other Council Officers for work purposes such as ensuring compliance with the Covid Secure Plan, ensuring compliance with legislation and for the allocation of work tasks and locations.
- Your vaccination status will be held in Council’s HR System. This will be recorded in a similar way to how we record other information such as medical certificates.
- Where Council does not know your vaccination status you may be required to comply with certain restrictions that apply at the time and as required by Council Policy or COVIDSafe Plan.
