What you’ll do

As Digital Marketing Specialist, you will:

- Support the development and implementation of Tearfund’s digital strategy, focusing on digital marketing and supporter experience and on campaign strategies that support Tearfund’s fundraising, marketing, advocacy and engagement goals.
- Develop and implement annual digital marketing plans, working collaboratively to ensure integration with the overall supporter journey framework.
- Oversee integrated marketing campaigns from conception to completion, translating campaign messaging, creating content which is compelling, and fit-for-purpose digital content across channels like social media, email and web.
- Manager and deliver segmented email campaigns through Ortto and oversee social media presence and engagement.
- Provide end-to-end management of brand content (photography, videography, editing and campaign storytelling) alongside performance analysis to continuously optimise reach and engagement.
- Apply data-driven insights top optimise digital performance, inform strategy and demonstrate impact, using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Good Ads and more.
- Optimise spend and performance in line with budget requirements, reporting on trends and insights.
- Bring creative thinking, audience understanding and data-driven insights to grow Tearfund's digital presence, expand our reach and strengthen supporter engagement.
- Enhance Tearfund’s digital presence by identifying emerging trends, technologies and opportunities, including AI-enabled marketing tools.




- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, content contributors and external partners.

What you will need:

- Strong commitment to Tearfund’s Christian mission, values and ethos demonstrated through personal actions and engagement.

- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing and campaign management, with a proven track record of delivering strong results.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field (Bachelor or higher).
- Digital communications experience in the ‘for purpose’ or not for profit sector’ – you can demonstrate your experience and audience understanding around influencing Australian Christians and the wider Australian audience to act and support a donation-funded organisation like Tearfund.
- Fluency in the digital landscape (i.e. Instagram and comparable channels) – you will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of a range of digital platforms and tools which enhance content creation and campaign performance (i.e. GA4, Canva, email and marketing automation like Ortto, social media management, and emerging AI tools).
- Demonstrated ability to create, manage and optimise paid campaigns across platforms like Meta, Google and Microsoft, and to gather and interpret performance data (such as google, social media and email analytics) to improve ROI. You have a robust grasp of what works on each platform and how to adapt messages to suit.
- Ability to demonstrate originality and bold thinking to generate cut-through in campaigns.
