The Position

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to work within our Accounts team. This role is responsible for both standard financial accounts payable duties and for the reporting & analysis for this area.

Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to):

- Complete the processes in relation to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Petty Cash, Cash and Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare and present draft monthly Sundry Debtors to Finance Team
- Prepare EFT payment, including verification through EFT payment portal and upload to correct trading bank account
- Bank reconciliation and reporting for end of month posting approving
- Generate and distribute remittance advices
- Investigate and rectify problems with resource usage
- Create requisitions using ARM software
- Data entry of appropriately authorised and coded tax invoices (including scanned uploads) and payment requests
- Liaise with Creditors and responding to enquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies

The Person

We are seeking a motivated individual with an interest in building or continuing a career in finance and administration. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience, study, qualifications or transferable skills that align with the requirements of the role.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and provide a high standard of customer service.
2. Experience in, or a willingness to learn, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, cash handling, general ledger processing, GST requirements, and other finance-related functions.
3. Sound computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
4. The ability to learn and effectively use financial management systems and other business software.
5. Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills,



with the ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
6. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy when processing information and maintaining records.
7. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and accountability in completing allocated tasks.
8. A commitment to continuous learning, professional development and delivering quality outcomes.
9. A Certificate III in Accounts Administration, a relevant qualification, currently undertaking study in a related field, completion of secondary education with an interest in finance, or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
